Panaerobics

Hey bitches. I’m back. Well I never went anywhere just utilizing different methods of social media to get out “my message”. There’s still nothing like the blog to really get into a topic.  I never really took to the Facebook thing all that much. It’s a nice way to touch base with people from your past but other than memes, pictures and pithy little comments, its pretty light on substance. I can post comment about swings or something, and then paste a link, but that’s about as in depth as it gets.

For the last 4 weeks or so I have been training my ass off.   My workouts go for at least an hour, and pretty much consist of heavy hands inspired stuff. I do a lot of pump and walk in places, with an emphasis on high knees. I also do a lot of high rep swings with a 20 pound dumbbell. The heavy bag is still in the mix as well.  My workouts are decidedly aerobic in nature. Yesterday, for example, I did a bunch of sets of dips and pull-ups prior to my one hour of panaerobics.  My eating is still the same. I struggle at night because I can’t sleep, so I get up and eat and that fucks everything up. If I can curb that then I’m golden, because these panaerobic workouts really burn some serious calories. I’m wearing 36 jeans again and they are even too big in the waist. I have massive thighs naturally. If I squat forget it, but even without squats I have some tree trunks.  So I am pleased with the results of the exercises. It will take some time to really transform. Even with the inventor of heavy hands it took some time to see serious results. The body needs to be transformed from within to adapt to aerobic conditioning.

In terms of controlling weight, these brief anaerobic workouts that are all the rage, come up short. Unless you really have your diet dialed in and are naturally lean anyway, these types of workouts won’t produce much in terms of weight loss.  You may not like this claim but I have found this to be true time and time again. I am done listening to the bullshit emanating from modern day fitness gurus. I’m sitting here no wearing jeans that I could not fit into 2 months ago. Now these jeans are starting to fall off my ass. It’s the panaerobics.

I have also found that other aspects of my life are better. I get that runner’s high after these workouts. It’s an awesome feeling. My sex life is better. I don’t sweat as much on warm days like I used to. I don’t feel like I have to have a nap at 2:00 pm. I am sure my blood pressure has dropped. My plan is to really run with this.  Not just for a few months but a few years.
